The new Australian Curriculum v9.0 has some major changes in what is taught at each level for secondary Science. Sometimes whole descriptors have been moved to another year level, which means teachers will have to change learning sequences that may have been in place for years.
To help teachers get across the changes, The Educator is publishing a series of articles by Jacqui Bennett explaining the changes to each of the 4 strands of secondary Science in the Australian Curriculum. Jacqui is a former Science teacher and now part of the the Edrolo Science team. For each Science strand, Jacqui unpacks how these changes might impact the learning sequences and resources already in use in schools.
