Explore the features below that you’ll love, saving you time and getting your students engaged and learning.
Preview sample content from our new Year 7 Maths resource with the same features across Years 7-10.
Years 7-9 available for 2024, Year 10 available for 2025.
You are fully covered, whether you are teaching algebra, angles or averages! Every topic is covered in-depth, with knowledge explicitly mapped for Years 7-10 with revision integrated along the way!
Each lesson contains a set of high-quality theory that includes everything you expect and more. Theory starts with highlighting where the concepts covered are used in the real world and the worked examples explore mathematical concepts from multiple perspectives and integrate visual models where appropriate to build students’ conceptual understanding of topics.
Build students’ foundation of knowledge with three different types of questions. Students first engage with visual models with Understanding Worksheet questions, then progress into building familiarity with the abstract maths through the Fluency questions. Students are scaffolded away from developing misconceptions by identifying potential errors with Spot the mistake questions.
Extend students with 4 different question types. Problem solving questions get students to apply their mathematical skills in real world contexts. Reasoning questions are multi-part questions that provide students with the opportunity to engage in longer multi-part questions. This is where they have to justify and explain what they have done.
In Years 7 and 8 extra spicy questions are the most challenging questions that are modelled after questions in maths competitions. In Years 9 and 10 exam style questions mirror questions that appear in VCE exams.
Remember this questions in Years 7-9 keep students’ knowledge active by bringing back questions from previous lessons and chapters.
The textbook and online fully-worked solutions go beyond single number answers. The solutions deconstruct questions and provide students with step-by-step workings so that they are able to use this to reflect, understand any errors and make progress, both in and out of the classroom, or when you’re busy helping other students.
In this Year 7 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMNA249), students will be able to find equivalent fractions using multiplication and division. They will also learn how to simplify fractions using the highest common factor between the numerator and denominator.
In this Year 7 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMSP269) , students will be able to construct column graphs and pie charts, and interpret column graphs and pie charts.
In this Year 7 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMMG261), students will be able to identify clockwise and anticlockwise rotations. They will also identify the size and angle of rotation, and rotate a shape around the centre of origin.
In this Year 8 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMNA284), students will be able to solve 1-step equations algebraically. They will also solve multi-step equations algebraically and verify the value of unknowns using substitution.
In this Year 8 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMSP296), students will be able to interpret and construct Venn diagrams and interpret and construct two-way tables. They will understand the words ‘and’, ‘or’ and ‘at least’ in the context of probability events.
In this Year 8 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMMG289), students will be able to convert between units of volume. They will identify prisms and cylinders based on their cross-sections, and calculate the volumes of rectangular prisms, triangular prisms and cylinders using formulas.
In this Year 9 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMNA305), students will be able to evaluate negative indices, express negative indices as positive, and apply index laws to simplify expressions involving negative indices.
In this Year 9 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMMG317), students will be able to identify similar triangles, determine the scale factor between similar triangles, and calculate an unknown side length of a triangle using the scale factor.
In this Year 9 lesson (aligned to Victoria Curriculum Content Standard VCMSP326), students will be able to find the mean, median, and mode of a data set. They will find the range and interquartile range of a data set and identify outliers in a data set.
